Panos Ioakim BEng MSc PhD CEng MIET FHEA, PRINCE2 is an engineering leader with over 30 years of experience spanning industry, academia, and multi-disciplinary R&D.

His work focuses on developing complex, science-led technologies and translating them into real-world engineered systems and products. Combining deep technical expertise with senior leadership, he operates across system architecture, embedded software, electronics, advanced sensing, and physics-based engineering.

Panos has built and led high performing engineering teams, delivered advanced research, and driven product development across sectors including biomedical circuits, environmental monitoring, imaging, space systems, and geotechnical sensing.

Alongside technical delivery, he is recognised for establishing effective engineering organisations, defining team structures, implementing robust project management approaches, and creating delivery environments capable of executing complex programmes with clarity and pace.

His work has been presented at international conferences and in technical publications, reflecting a continued commitment to scientific rigour and applied engineering.

He maintains strong academic links as a Senior Honorary Visiting Fellow at City St George’s, University of London, alongside collaborations with UK and European institutions, and is a Royal Academy of Engineering Industrial Fellowship Partner.

Panos is known for combining technical depth with clear decision-making and structured delivery, helping organisations navigate complexity, de-risk innovation, and move from concept to working product with confidence.
